Outgoing call∑ Suppose that the SIM card has beeninserted, the PIN entered or not required,and EasyGate is registered to GSMnetwork – the GSM Network LED ispermanently on.∑ Hook off the telephone, you can hear thedial tone and the Line LED starts flashing.∑ Dial the GSM subscriber number.EasyGate receives tone dialing (DTMF) bydefault. If your telephone transmits pulsedialing only, program EasyGate to receivepulse dialing. When you make a delay inyour dialing longer than 5s(programmable), the connection isestablished.∑ If the called subscriber is available, youcan hear the ringing tone. If not, you canhear the busy tone or any of the GSMprovider’s messages.∑ When the called subscriber answers thecall, the call is established. The Line LEDis permanently on during the call.∑ Hang up to terminate the call. The LineLED goes off. If the called subscriber isthe first to hang up, you can hear thebusy tone and hang up.Incoming call∑ An incoming call is signaled by ringing.The Line LED flashes during ringing.∑ Hook off the phone to establish the call.The Line LED is permanently on duringthe call.∑ For call termination see the Outgoing callsection.Fax and data connection(only fax models)EasyGate with fax converter has ability tomanage fax messages using analogue faxGroup 3 and data connection using analogmodem connected to telephone line. Thefax or data service must be registered withyour GSM operator.∑ Outgoing FAX call or Data connectionBefore destination number dial code*01* for fax call or *02* for data call.When connected device generates callingtone, this preset is not necessary.∑ Incoming FAX call or data connectionIt is recommended to activate separatefax number on your SIM card –multinumbering scheme. Faxmessages and data connection should berouted to appropriate number.If the fax or data number is notactivated, the call from analogue networkis not detected as fax or data call and isrouted via the analogue channel of GSMnetwork, the connection can´t beestablished. In this case it is possible toset fax engine in the gateway to receivethe next call as fax or data call. Thissetting can be done permanent - see themanual on CD-ROM. This function is notguaranteed by all operators.Configuration over USB∑ For PC configuration of EasyGate isnecessary to install PCManager UNI.Connect EasyGate to PC using USB cable.∑ Virtual serial port(USB serial port FTDI) iscreated immediately after linking PC andEasyGate. This port is used byPCManager to communicate withEasyGate.
