5Part II: Changes to the Xerox® WorkCentre®7220/7225 with Xerox® ConnectKey®TechnologySoftwareConnectKey Technology is an operating system and set of software solutions offered on many of our A3and A4 Xerox® MFPs. They were initially announced in February of 2013. It was designed for one purpose:to simplify the way work gets done. ConnectKey Technology offers flexibility, simplicity and security – allof which allows our customers to focus more on what matters most: their real business. This commonsoftware provides an opportunity for feature coherency across many of the Xerox® MFP products.Note: The WorkCentre 7200 series software releases are not backwards compatible to the WorkCentre7100 series.ConnectKey 1.5 Technology FeaturesIn May of 2014, Xerox updated ConnectKey Technology with a free upgrade that provided new solutionsand features to further enhance the offering. Also in May, we announced that the ConnectKey 1.5Technology will be available on new devices shipping in the September timeframe.The following are the features available with the ConnectKey 1.5 Technology upgrade.ConvenienceMopria™ Certified• The WorkCentre 7200 series is Mopria certified. Mopria certification ensures you can print wirelesslyfrom your Mopria supported smart phone, tablet and other mobile devices instantly and easily withoutany setup.Xerox® Print Service Plug-in for Android™• This plug-in enables printing to many Xerox® printers and MFPs without the need for third-party appsor additional print drivers.Rearrange Service icons• For greater ease of use and customization, the service buttons on the User Interface can be moved intoany order.Printing: Scale PCL6 between common metric and US paper sizes• ConnectKey enabled MFPs provide the ability to scale PCL files (PS was already enabled) betweencommon metric and US paper sizes. This feature simplifies the use of ConnectKey enabled productsworldwide with customers who regularly do business globally and receive documents in both metricand US sizes. Print image scaling is enabled/disabled via the WEB UI (Default is disabled) and is aclone-able setting.Reprint Saved Jobs in Color or Mono• Users can choose Color or Mono at the device for reprinting saved jobs and jobs printed from a USBThumb Drive. Color can be set to either Color or Mono, however, if a job was sent as Mono originally, itcan only remain as Mono.ConnectKey® for DocuShare®• Xerox® ConnectKey for DocuShare, a one-step scan-to-workflow solution, simplifies the process ofRearrange Service IconsReprint Saved Jobs
