97-0019-01-01 27Operating the Freedom SW with the SCPTable 4 Freedom SW Device Setup Screen Operating States (Modes)State (Mode) Displayed When...Invert The Freedom SW is supplying power to loads by inverting powerfrom the batteries. AC input from the utility or generator is absent orout of nominal range.Qualifying AC The Freedom SW is determining if AC input is within a usablevoltage and frequency range. Qualifying AC is also displayedwhen the Freedom SW is awaiting application of AC power or acommand to enable invert mode.Charging The Freedom SW is charging the batteries from qualified AC inputfrom the utility grid or a generator. The charge state is in transitionto either bulk, absorption, float, or equalize. AC input is also passedthrough to the load while charging.Bulk The Freedom SW is bulk charging the batteries from qualified ACinput from the utility grid or a generator. AC input is also passedthrough to the load while bulk charging.Absorption The Freedom SW is absorption charging the batteries from qualifiedAC input from the utility grid or a generator. AC input is also passedthrough to the load while absorption charging.ABS Finish One Freedom SW unit has completed the absorption stage and iswaiting for other Freedom SWs in the system to completeabsorption. This status can occur only when there is anotherFreedom SW also charging the battery.Float The Freedom SW is float charging the batteries from qualified ACinput from the utility grid or a generator. The Freedom SW is set forthree-stage charging. AC input is also passed through to the loadwhile float charging.Fault The Freedom SW has an active fault. The Fault/Warning light on theXanbus SCP is on.State (Mode) Displayed When...Gen Support There is AC input from the generator, and the Freedom SW issupporting the generator by supplying additional power to thecritical loads. See “Gen Support” on page 53.Search Search mode is enabled and the Freedom SW is standing by, waitingto begin inverting. See “Changing Configurable Settings From TheDevice Setup Menu Screen” on page 32.Passthru The AC connected to the AC1 or AC2 input is passing directlythrough the Freedom SW to the loads.
