Chapter 5 Advanced Settings43Adjusting Backlight SettingThe PA600’s LCD backlight consumes a large amount of battery power, only use thisfunction if it is necessary.Change backlight settings through the following:1. Tap Start → Settings → System.2. Tap Backlight.3. The Backlight screen appears.Do any of the following:– In the Battery Power tab, select Turn offbacklight if device is not used for, andselect the amount of time before the PA600turns off from the drop down menu (whileconnected to a battery).– In the External Power tab, select Turn offbacklight if device is not used for, andchoose the amount of time before the unitturns off the backlight from the drop downmenu (while connected to an externalpower source).– Select Turn on backlight when to activatethe backlight when a button is pressed orthe screen is tapped.
