223.3.33. watchdogThe “watchdog” command gives additional control over therouter’s unpredicted behavior (i.e. a misconfiguration disabling furthercommunication with the router). The router uses the “ping” command tocheck the availability of certain IP addresses and reboots, if one of themdoesn’t answer. The command has following syntax:° watchdog on - enables the watchdog° watchdog off - disables the watchdog° watchdog [ ] - configures the watchdog. After seconds the router sends of pings tothe (and the if set)waiting seconds after each of them. If there is no answerfor any of the pings sent to the first address or for any of the pingssent to the second address, then the router is rebooted.3.3.34. writeSaves the current configuration to the EEPROM and displays aninformation about the EEPROM usage. If the configuration is to large tobe stored some settings should be deleted, like static ARP entries, DHCPoptions, etc.
