Combustible materials are considered to be wood, compressed paper,plant fibers, or other materials capable of being ignited and burned. Such materials shallbe considered combustible even though flame proofed, fire retardant treated or plastered.Additional clearances may be required for glass, painted surfaces, plastics, vinyl and othermaterials which may be damaged or melted by radiant or convection heat. A minimumclearance of 24 inches (above the heater) must be maintained to plastics, vinyl or anyother materials that may be adversely affected by radiant or convection heat. |
