When it is on, itreceives and transmits RF energy. When you are on a phone call,the system handling your call controls the power level at which theproduct transmits. This product is designed not to exceed the limitsfor exposure to radio waves recommended by internationalguidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independentscientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designedto assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.The guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the SpecificAbsorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit for mobile devices is 2 W/kgand the highest SAR value for this product when tested at the ear is0.313 W/kg (for models supporting cellular transmission) and 0.0367W/kg (for models supporting Wi-Fi transmission only).*1For body-worn operation, this product has been tested and meets RFexposure guidelines when used with a Panasonic accessorydesignated for this product and when used with an accessory thatcontains no metal and that positions the mobile device a minimum of10 mm from the body.In this case, the highest tested SAR value is 0.511 W/kg (for modelssupporting cellular transmission) and 0.0945 W/kg (for modelssupporting Wi-Fi transmission only).
