The purposeof this instructional is to familiarize the user with the function,care and maintenance of the Simulaids' Sani-Baby trainingmanikin. It is not meant to provide instructions in CPR or otheremergency life procedures. Please read it thoroughly. AllSimulaids manikins are designed and manufactured to exactingstandards and will provide years of effective and trouble-free usewhen the simple steps of care and maintenance are regularlyperformed.Note: The manikin you have just purchased is a member ofSimulaids' Sani-Man line. These manikins serve manyindividuals during a training session. In order to eliminate crosscontamination, or the possibility of cross-contamination, thesemanikins are designed with a "single use airway." That meansthat only one person uses the plastic bag airway system.When the individual completes his/her airway inflations, the bagis to be removed and the next student will place his/her airway inthe manikin. The airway can be retained by an individual forfurther use during that training session, but the airway should bediscarded at the end of that session. This is the onlyrecommended procedure for eliminating cross-contamination.Airway RemovalSteps: 1. Remove chest overlay from shoulders and peel down.2. Remove the face shield bag by pulling it out of themouth.Airway InstallationSteps: 1. Fold opened end of face shield bag as shown below.Tilt head back and place folded end up through themouth.2. With head tilted back lay the lung flat against the chestand pull the overlay back up into place and snap.3. Form the face shield to cover face from nose to chin.WarrantySimulaids warrants their products to be free from defects inmate- rials and/or workmanship for a period of three years fromthe date of purchase, as evidenced by the date on the invoice ofthe product shipment to the end user. This warranty expresslydoes not cover abuse, accidental or purposeful damage, or anyform of modification to the product. This warranty does notcover moulage prod- ucts. Only products manufactured at theSimulaids plant in Saugerties, NY re- ceive this limited warrantystatus. All other products sold through Simulaids, butmanufactured elsewhere, are subject to the warranties suppliedby the product manufacturer. These warranties may differ fromthe Simulaids' warranty. Simulaids reserves the right to eitherrepair or replace affected parts or the entire unit, at their solediscretion, after investigating and reviewing the actual productand the damage. In most instances, a digital photo of the productin question show- ing the damage will help qualify a product forreturn to the factory.Return PolicyAt no time will any product be accepted without proper returnauthorization issued by Simulaids. Please contact our CustomerService Department to arrange a return and obtain a RGAnumber. Freight and Shipping charges are the sole responsibilityof the end user. No product will be received with shippingcharges due. Serial number and invoice number from the agencythrough whom the product was purchased must be provided forwarranty repairs.
