Manual 3Gas+ AlarmThank you for purchasing the 3Gas+ alarm. An additional piece ofnecessary security in your recreational vehicle.General description:The 3Gas+ alarm detects different gases, such as propane / butane(LPG), carbon monoxide and anaesthetic gases. The 3Gas+ alarmalerts by means of an alarm signal when it detects the gases.The 3Gas+ Alarm is a professional and highly sensitive alarm thatwill warn (sleeping) occupants by a loud signal. The alarm reacts tothe smallest gas concentrations so that the gases don’t have time toexert adverse effects on humans and animals.When the 3Gas+ alarm detects a gas concentration in the ambientair, it will generate a 40 second during pre-alarm. If the gas concen-tration remains constant during the pre-alarm or is increasing, thealarm is activated with a continuous alarm tone and the red LEDconstantly shines. If the gas concentration after the alarm has disap-peared, the 3Gas+ alarm will return to the standby mode.Installation:The 3Gas+ alarm is connected to the 12V supply of the vehicle. Thealarm should be installed 30 cm to 100cm above the floor.For a faultless alarm operation ambient air must not containenvironmentally harmful gases. Naturally, the operation of thealarm for your safety should be checked regularly. You can do this byturning on the alarm and wait until the green LED remains shiningafter the self-test. Then press the button of a gas-lighter next to thelateral openings of the 3Gas+ alarm. (only gas, no flames)ENGLISHAfter a few seconds you will hear the 40 seconds during pre-alarm,wich will be followed by the alarm, if you keep on steaming the gasinto the casing.+ Option:Because some gases rise and some gases fall, it is possible toimprove the operation of the additional gas alarm by placing anextra (optional) sensor that can be mounted at a different height orposition.The extra sensors detect all the same gases as the main alarm. It ispossible to connect 2 extra sensors per main alarm for example onanother height or in a different room.There are 2 extra sensors available:• Broad spectrum: detect the same gases as the main alarm• Specific CO: For faster CO detection.For faster detection of CO we recommend installing the additionalCO sensor to be installed at the top, As CO gas is lighter than air.Operation:Press lightly on the top of the device. (the part that shows the flame)The 3Gas+ alarm is activated and runs an automatic test to verifyproper operation. For a good result the LED lights up briefly and along beep follows. After this, the sensor technology is calibratedwhich is indicated by the illumination of the green LED. After calibra-tion, the green LED stays on. The self-test lasts for 2 to 4 minutes. |
