51243 76Features of Kambrook Oscillating Tower Ceramic Heater IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONSWhen using electrical appliances, basicprecautions should always be followed toreduce the risk of fire, electric shock andinjury to persons, including the following:READ AND KEEP THESEINSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTUREREFERENCE BEFORE USING THISHEATER.Avoid touching heater body while it is on,some parts of the heater are hot.Whenmoving the unit switch off and hold theheater by the handles where provided.Keep combustible materials such asdrapes and other furnishings at least 1.7metres from the front, sides and rear ofthe heater. Do not use heater to dry yourlaundry. Do not cover the heater whilst itis operating.Extreme caution and supervision isnecessary when this heater is used by ornear children, invalids or animals.Young children should be supervised toensure they do not play with the heater.Important – this heater is intended forfloor use only. Do not mount on ceilingor walls.WARNING: In order to avoidoverheating do not cover the heater.Do not leave heater unattended. Alwaysswitch off the heater at the controls andat the power outlet then unplug heaterfrom the power outlet when not in use.Do not operate heater whilst asleep.Do not operate any heater with adamaged cord or plug, or if heater hasbeen dropped or damaged in any manner.Return heater to your nearest servicecentre for examination, electrical ormechanical adjustment or repair.Do not use outdoors.This heater is notintended for commercial use, such asconstruction sites.Do not locate the heater immediatelybelow a socket outlet when in use.Do not use this heater with aprogrammer, timer or any other devicethat switches the heater on automatically.Since a fire risk may exist if the heater iscovered or positioned incorrectly.This heater is not intended for use in wetor moist locations. Do not use thisheater in the immediate surroundings of abath, a shower or a swimming pool. Donot immerse or allow liquids to be spilton heater.This heater has hot and arcing or sparkingparts inside. Do not use in areas wherepetrol, paints, aerosols, or otherinflammable substances are used or stored.Do not operate the heater with thepower cord hanked or wound around anypart of the heater, or in contact withheated surfaces of the heater.Do not allow materials that have been incontact with oil, petroleum basedproducts or drying fluids to come incontact with the heaterDo not run the cord under carpeting orcover the cord with rugs, runners or thelike. Arrange cord away from traffic areasand where it will not be tripped over.To disconnect heater turn the control toOFF, then switch off at the power outletthen remove plug from its outlet.2 31.
