Clean only with a dry cloth.7. Do not block any ventilation openings.Install in accordance with the manufacturer’sinstructions.8. Do not install near any heat sources suchas radiators, heat registers, stoves or otherapparatus (including amplifiers) that produceheat.9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of thepolarized or grounding-type plug. A polarizedplug has two blades with one wider than theother. A grounding-type plug has two bladesand a third grounding prong. The wide bladeor the third prong are provided for your safety.If the provided plug does not fit into your out-let, consult an electrician for replacement ofthe obsolete outlet.10. Protect the power cord from beingwalked on or pinched, particularly at plugs,convenience receptacles and the pointwhere they exit from the apparatus.11. Only use attachments/accessoriesspecified by the manufacturer.12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod,bracket or table specified by themanufacturer or sold with theapparatus. When a cart is used,use caution when moving thecart/apparatus combination to avoidinjury from tip-over.13. Unplug this apparatus during lightningstorms or when unused for long periodsof time.14. Refer all servicing to qualified servicepersonnel. Servicing is required when theapparatus has been damaged in any way,such as power-supply cord or plug is dam-aged, liquid has been spilled or objects havefallen into the apparatus, the apparatus hasbeen exposed to rain or moisture, does notoperate normally, or has been dropped.15. Do not use attachments not recommendedby the product manufacturer, as they maycause hazards.16. This product should be operated onlyfrom the type of power source indicated onthe marking label. If you are not sure of thetype of power supply to your home, consultyour product dealer or local power company.For products intended to operate from bat-tery power or other sources, refer to theoperating instructions.17. If an outside antenna or cable systemis connected to the product, be sure theantenna or cable system is grounded so asto provide some protection against voltagesurges and built-up static charges. Article810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, provides information with regard toproper grounding of the mast and supportingstructure, grounding of the lead-in wire toan antenna discharge unit, size of groundingconductors, location of antenna-dischargeunit, connection to grounding electrodes, andrequirements for the grounding electrode.See Figure A.18. An outside antenna system should not belocated in the vicinity of overhead powerlines or other electric light or power circuits,or where it can fall into such power lines orcircuits. When installing an outside antennasystem, extreme care should be taken to keepfrom touching such power lines or circuits, ascontact with them might be fatal.19. Do not overload wall outlets, extensioncords, or integral convenience receptacles,as this can result in a risk of fire or electricshock.20. Never push objects of any kind into thisproduct through openings, as they may touchdangerous voltage points or short-out parts,which could result in a fire or electric shock.Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.21. The apparatus shall not be exposed todripping or splashing, and no objects filledwith liquids, such as vases, shall be placedon the apparatus.22. Do not attempt to service this productyourself, as opening or removing covers mayexpose you to dangerous voltage or otherhazards. Refer all servicing to qualifiedservice personnel.23. When replacement parts are required,be sure the service technician has usedreplacement parts specified by the manufac-turer or that have the same characteristicsas the original part. Unauthorized substitu-tions may result in fire, electric shock orother hazards.24. Upon completion of any service or repairsto this product, ask the service technician toperform safety checks to determine that theproduct is in proper operating condition.25. The product should be mounted to awall or ceiling only as recommended bythe manufacturer.The exclamation point within an equilateraltriangle is intended to alert the user to thepresence of important operating andmaintenance (servicing) instructions in theliterature accompanying the appliance.CAUTIONRISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCKDO NOT OPENCAUTION: To reduce the risk of electric shock,do not remove cover (or back).No user-serviceable parts inside.Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.CAUTION: To prevent electric shock,do not use this (polarized) plug withan extension cord, receptacle or other outletunless the blades can be fully inserted toprevent blade exposure.The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol,within an equilateral triangle, is intended toalert the user to the presence of uninsulated“dangerous voltage” within the product’senclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitutea risk of electric shock to persons.Figure A.Example of Antenna Grounding as perNational Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 702 |
