Contents |  Freezer Features And UseGeneral FeaturesAdjustable temperature dial:Your freezer will automatically main-tain the temperature level you select.The temperature control dial has 6 set-tings plus OFF. “I” is the warmest, “6”is the coldest. Turning the dial to OFFstops cooling the freezer. Set the dialto “3” and allow 24 hours to passbefore adjusting the temperature toyour needs.(Note: If the freezer has beenplaced in a horizontal ortilted position for any periodof time wait 24 hours beforeplugging the unit in.)English7• Once the freezer is in its proper place, plug it in an electrical outlethaving 115 volts and 15 amps.• Set the temperature, on the temperature control knob. “1” being thewarmest and “6” being the coldest. Initially set the temperature on“3”. Place food inside the freezer. After using the freezer for 24 hoursset the freezer to your desired setting.• In case you unplug your freezer or experience an electrical outage,allow 5 minutes before plugging it back in.• Temperature should be 0˚F (-18˚C) or below in the upper compart-ment and range from 5˚F to 20˚F in the drawer section.Operating Your Freezer• Your freezer may be equipped with a Fast Freeze switch (orangeswitch), which will allow you to deep freeze food when you haveadded a lot of food at one time. Flip the orange Fast Freeze switch onand the compressor will run continuously. Turn off the Fast Freeze fea-ture once food has reached desired temperature.Note: Do not forget to turn off the fast freeze switch when notrequired. Doing so will avoid unnecessary energy use.Fast Freeze (not in all models)The upper compartment is recommended for deep freezing long termstorage. It is for such items as meat, poultry and fish.The lower compartment is ideal for short term frozen storage such asfrozen prepared foods, ice ccream and other frequently used foodproducts.Your Freezer Provides Dual Zone Storage |
