Using the featuresDigital LED LCD Television Instruction Manual EN-22USING THE FEATURESTeletext functionsTeletext is an information system, broadcast by certainchannels, which can be read like a newspaper. It alsoprovides subtitles for people with hearing difficulties orthose who are unfamiliar with the language in which aparticular program is being broadcast (cable networks,satellite channels, etc.).NoteTheO teletext buttons could be working even ifthere is no teletext signal, but there is no teletextdisplay.TeletextTeletext functionsVTo select “teletext” press the button on thehandset. To switch off teletext, press the button again.“Note all menu functions are not available in teletextmode”. Only a few direct button control functions areavailable in teletext mode, they are:Volume adjustmenttMute functiontPage up/downVUse the P+/P- buttons to browse next or previouspage.Page number enteringVTo select a Teletext page, enter the page numberusing the numeric key pad on the remote control,or use the P+ or P- buttons, or the coloured Fast textbuttons.Mix modeVTo view the TV picture while in Text mode press thebutton, this will superimpose the Teletext data on topof the TV picture. Press this button again to return toFull text.INDEXVPress the INDEX button to go to the index page ofteletext.Language changeVPressing the button will change the Teletextcharacters between Eastern and Western.HoldVPressing the button will stop the teletext pageautomatically updating. This feature is very usefulwhere there are several teletext pages or data on thesame page number.SizeVPressing the button changes between full screentop half bottom half full screen. This feature isvery useful as it magnifies the image making thecharacters easier to read.RevealVPressing the button will reveal hidden text. Thisfeature is used to reveal information such as answersto Teletext on-line interactive puzzles.
