To record a program, first prepare to record the program by following the instructions on page 20. Then, follow the steps to record the program as outlined on page 20 and 21.
The Timeshift function allows you to pause and record live TV. To use it, follow the instructions on page 22. Note that there are some limitations to this function, which are detailed on page 23.

To connect a DVD player using a SCART cable, connect the SCART cable from the SCART socket on the TV to the DVD player. Then, press the SOURCE button on the remote, use the ▼▲ keys to select SCART, and press the OK button. The TV will default to the SCART connection when it is switched on.
To connect a PC or Laptop using a VGA cable, connect the VGA cable from the VGA socket on the TV to the PC or Laptop. Then, press the SOURCE button on the remote, use the ▼▲ keys to select PC, and press the OK button. Note that VGA is video only, so for audio, you need to connect a separate cable from the PC Audio (3.5mm jack) to the headphone socket on your PC/Laptop (3.5mm jack).
To lock the system and set a password, navigate to the LOCK MENU, which is the sixth item in the menu. From there, you can set the lock system, password, block programs, and set parental guidance. Once the lock system is on, you will not be able to search channels or change any programs.
To format the disk, select the 'Format disk' option from the menu. Choose the 'High Speed FS' format mode for faster recording. Follow the on-screen instructions and do not unplug the USB device during the formatting process. The formatting process will take some time, and you will see a message indicating that it is complete.
