Haier LE42B1380 Owner's Manual

The model and serial number are located on the label on the back of the unit.

You can control the playback of content using the remote control. The buttons for playback control include PLAY/PAUSE, REW, FF, PRE, and NEXT.

The Haier LE42B1380 TV is available in 42” and 46” sizes.

To change the input source, press the 'INPUT' button on the TV or the remote control. This will cycle through the available input sources.

The LED indicator on the TV will be red when the TV is in standby mode. When the TV is powered on, the indicator will be green.

Connect the coaxial antenna cable from the external antenna to the COAX IN port on the TV. Then, press the INPUT button on the remote control to display the input source menu, select TV, and press the ENTER button to confirm. You will need to perform a channel scan to view TV channels. Please see the auto scan section on page 20 for more details.

To connect a DVD player or VCR to the TV using RCA cables, connect the VIDEO and AUDIO output jacks on the DVD player or VCR to the AV IN jacks on the TV set. Match the jack's colors: Video=yellow, Audio left=White, Audio right=red. Then, turn on the DVD player/VCR, and select “AV” in the input source menu.

Using a Component Video (YPbPr) cable provides improved picture quality compared to a standard RCA video cable. To connect using YPbPr, connect the YPbPr output jacks on the DVD player or VCR to the YPbPr input jacks on the TV set using a component video (YPbPr) cable. Match the jack colors: Y=Green, Pb=Blue, Pr=red. Additionally, connect the audio output jacks on the DVD player or VCR to the audio input jacks on the back of the TV with an RCA audio cable, and select “Component” in the input source menu.

To change the label of a channel, go to the OSD Menu and select 'Channel Label'. Use the =!0!?! button to select the position and the Ĥ 0 ĥ button to select the letter for the new label.

Ensure that the TV is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure that the aerial is connected. Try a different program.
