Ensure that you connect the grounding / earth wire to prevent possible electric shock. If grounding methods are not possible, have a qualified electrician install a separate circuit breaker. Do not try to ground the unit by connecting it to telephone wires, lightening rods, or gas pipes.
For optimum picture quality, adjust the antenna direction if needed. If you are in a poor signal area, consider purchasing and installing a signal amplifier. If the antenna needs to be split for two TVs, install a 2-Way Signal Splitter in the connections. If the antenna is not installed properly, contact your dealer for assistance.
To connect your PC to the Haier L1911W-A LCD-TV using a VGA cable, follow these steps: 1. Ensure your computer has a VGA connector. 2. Turn off the power of both the LCD-TV and the PC. 3. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the VGA video interface connector on the PC and the other end to the VGA video interface connector on the back of the LCD-TV. Tighten the screws on the VGA connectors once they are firmly connected. 4. Turn on the power of the LCD-TV first, and then turn on the power of the PC. 5. Press the TV/AV button to set the video input mode of the LCD-TV to PC-RGB. 6. Adjust the resolution, refresh rate, brightness, and contrast on the menu until the picture is clear.
If there is noise or distortion in the image when using the PC mode, try the following steps: 1. Change the PC mode to another resolution. 2. Change the refresh rate to another rate. 3. Adjust the brightness and contrast on the menu until the picture is clear. If the refresh rate of the PC graphic card cannot be changed, consider changing the PC graphic card or consulting the manufacturer of the PC graphic card.
To set up your Haier L1911W-A TV for cable TV, you need to connect a TV tuner device or cable TV converter box to the TV. You can follow either of the two connection options provided in the manual. For further details, contact your local cable TV service provider.
To connect an external AV source to your Haier L1911W-A TV, connect the audio and video cables from the external equipment's output jacks to the TV input jacks, matching the jack colors (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and Audio Right = red).
