Frequently asked questions

Unplug the TV from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning.

If your Haier HTN13G11F TV has been exposed to water or liquid, you should unplug it from the wall outlet and refer it to qualified service personnel for servicing.

If the TV is not responding to the remote control, refer to the 'Troubleshooting Guide' on pages 34-37. This section provides solutions to common issues, including problems with the remote control.

To connect your TV to a cable or antenna, follow these steps: 1. Plug in the power cord into the 2-prong outlet. 2. Connect the cable or antenna to the provided connection on the back of the TV. Note that the TV antenna or cable wire is not included with the television set. You need to purchase an antenna if you are not going to hook up cable service. If you already have a cable service, connect the existing cable wire that your local cable company provided at the time of your cable installation.

To change the channels, press the CH (+) button to go up and the CH (–) button to go down on your TV set.

To block certain TV channels, you can use the Rating Button on the remote. This function allows you to set up channel blocking according to the V-Chip requirement established by the FCC.

To change the language settings, press the Menu button 3 times to access the Option menu. Use the CH (+) and CH (-) buttons to navigate to the 'Language' option. Then, use the VOL (+) and VOL (-) buttons to select your preferred language from English, Spanish, and French.

To turn on or off the Video Noise Reduction (VNR) feature, press the Menu button 3 times to access the Option menu. Navigate to the 'VNR' option using the CH (+) and CH (-) buttons. Then, press the VOL (+) button to turn VNR ON or the VOL (-) button to turn it OFF.

To move the person on the screen from left to right, press the VOL (+) or VOL (-) buttons on the remote control.

First, check that the power cord is properly plugged into the outlet. If the plug is secure but the TV still doesn't turn on, try plugging another device into the outlet to ensure it's working. Also, make sure you are aiming the remote control directly at the sensor on the TV and that the batteries in the remote are not depleted. If these steps don't work, try turning the TV on using the power button on the TV itself.
