Frequently asked questions

No, you should not open the back cover or any part of the Haier HLH15BB. There are no user-serviceable parts inside, and doing so may expose you to high voltage and risk of electric shock. Refer any issues to qualified service personnel.

To clean the Haier HLH15BB, first unplug it from the wall outlet. Use only a dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.

If the unit is disabled by an electrostatic discharge, please turn off the power to the unit and turn it back on to reset.

To switch between different input signals, use the TV/AV button on the control panel. This button allows you to select from various input signals such as PC, COMPONENT, AV, SV, and TV.

The VOL- (V-) button is used to decrease the volume and navigate left in the on-screen display (OSD) menu. The VOL+ (V+) button is used to increase the volume and navigate right in the OSD menu. Pressing the VOL+ button also allows you to enter a selected item in the menu.

To mute the TV, press the 'MUTE' button on the remote control.

To connect your PC to the Haier HLH15BB LCD-TV using a VGA cable, follow these steps: 1. Ensure your PC has a VGA connector. 2. Turn off both the LCD-TV and the PC. 3. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the VGA video interface connector on the PC and the other end to the VGA video interface connector on the back of the LCD-TV. Tighten the screws on the VGA connectors. 4. Turn on the LCD-TV first, then turn on the PC. 5. Press the TV/AV button to set the video input mode of the LCD-TV to PC-RGB. 6. Adjust the resolution, refresh rate, brightness, and contrast on the menu until the picture is clear.

If there is noise or distortion in the image when using the PC mode, try the following steps: 1. Change the PC mode to another resolution. 2. Change the refresh rate to another rate. 3. Adjust the brightness and contrast on the menu. If the refresh rate of the PC graphic card cannot be changed, consider changing the PC graphic card or consulting the manufacturer of the PC graphic card.

To avoid picture noise, ensure there is an adequate distance between the VCR and the TV. For connection, you can either set the VCR output switch to 3 or 4 and tune the TV to the same channel number, or connect the audio and video cables from the VCR's output jacks to the TV input jacks, matching the jack colors (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and Audio Right = red).

First, turn on the power of the LCD-TV, and then turn on the power of the VCR. After that, press the TV/AV button to set the video input mode of the LCD-TV to S-VIDEO mode or AV mode.
