No, you should not install the Haier HLC26 near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat. This is to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the appliance.

To switch on/off the Haier HLC26 TV set, refer to the 'Switching On/Off the TV set' section in the manual for detailed instructions.

To connect an external device to the TV using HDMI, use the HDMI1 or HDMI2 ports on the back panel. Connect the HDMI cable from the external device to the corresponding HDMI port on the TV.

To perform a manual scan, press the MENU button and use the / button to select the Channel menu. Then, press the button and use the digital buttons to select the channel number you want to add or delete. Press the OK button to confirm and add the channel. Press the EXIT button to return to TV viewing or the MENU button to return to the previous menu.

To fine-tune an analog channel, press the MENU button and use the / button to select the Channel menu. Then, press the button to select Fine Tune. Use the / button to tune the channel. Press the EXIT button to return to TV viewing or the MENU button to return to the previous menu.

To change the channel, use the CH+ or CH- buttons on the remote control. Press CH+ to increase the channel number or CH- to decrease the channel number. If the 'Skip' function is enabled on a particular channel, pressing the CH+/- buttons will skip that channel.

To adjust the volume, press the VOL+ or VOL- buttons on the remote control or the front of the TV set. The volume level will be displayed on the screen and can be adjusted within the range of 0 to 100. If you need to mute the sound, press the MUTE button on the remote control. The sound will be turned off and a mute icon will appear on the screen. To unmute, press the MUTE button again or the VOL+ button.

To change the audio mode, press the S.MODE button repeatedly on the remote control to select the desired option: Live, POP, Rock, or Custom.

To set a timer to turn off the TV automatically, press the MENU button, use the / button to select the Time menu, then press the button and use the / button to select Timer Off. Choose the Mode (Off, Once, or Daily) and set the desired time. Press the OK button to confirm and the MENU button to return to the previous menu or the EXIT button to return to TV viewing.

To turn on closed captions, press the MENU button and use the / button to select the Function menu. Then, press the / button to select the CC mode. Use the / button to select the items (On, Off, or On When mute) and press the MENU button to return to the previous menu or the EXIT button to return to TV viewing.
