The INPUT button is used to change the input source mode. Press it repeatedly to cycle through different sources. In the MENU screen, the INPUT button serves as the ENTER button.

The MENU button opens the on-screen menu, allowing you to navigate through various settings and adjust the system preferences according to your needs.

To avoid picture noise (interference), ensure that you leave an adequate distance between the VCR and the TV. This will help minimize any potential interference.

To connect your PC to the Haier HL40XSL2a TV using VGA, first ensure that only one of either VGA IN or HDMI IN is connected. Turn on both the computer and the TV. Use the INPUT button on the remote control to select VGA as the source. If there is noise in the image, try changing the resolution or refresh rate, or adjust the brightness and contrast settings until the picture is clear.

If your DVD player does not support Auto HDMI, you need to manually set the output resolution of the source device. For the best picture quality, adjust the output resolution to 1280×720 p. Then, select HDMI as the input source in the Select Main source menu on your TV.

To change the picture source, press the INPUT button on the remote control to enter the Select Source menu. Use the / button to select the desired input (TV, Video, Component 1, Component 2, PC, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, HDMI 4). Then, press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.

To enable DPMS (PC Power Management) mode, ensure that your TV is connected to a VGA source. Then, set the DPMS function to 'On' through the menu settings. The TV will automatically go into standby mode if no signal is received for 2 minutes.

To avoid damaging your USB device, make sure to exit the USB mode by pressing the USB button on the remote control before removing the USB device from the TV. Removing the USB device without exiting the USB mode may cause damage.
