To change the input source, press the INPUT button on the front panel. This will display the input source mode on the screen. Use the MENU/INPUT buttons to select the desired input source.

To adjust the volume, press the VOL -/+ buttons on the front panel. Pressing the VOL + button will increase the volume, while pressing the VOL - button will decrease the volume.

To send the TV's audio to an external audio system, connect one end of an optical cable to the TV's Digital Audio (Optical) Output port and the other end to the digital audio (optical) input on your audio equipment. Make sure to turn off the TV speakers when using external audio equipment. Refer to the external audio equipment's instruction manual for specific operation details.

To connect your DVD player or Set Top Box to the Haier HL40K2AFA TV using HDMI, follow these steps: 1. Connect the source device to the HDMI port of the TV using an HDMI cable (not supplied with the product). 2. No separate audio connection is necessary. If the source device supports Auto HDMI function, the output resolution will be automatically set to 1280x720p. If not, set the output resolution of the source device to 1280x720p for the best picture quality. Then, select HDMI input source in the input source option of the Select Main source menu.

To remove the table stand and install a wall mount bracket on the Haier HL40K2AFA TV, follow these steps: 1. Remove the 4 M4 screws securing the stand to the TV, then remove the stand. 2. Use 4 M6 screws to secure the wall bracket (not supplied) to the back of your TV.

To turn on your TV for the first time, make sure the batteries are inserted in the remote control, the antenna is connected to the TV, and the AC power is connected. Press the POWER button on the remote, wait several seconds for the power indicator LED to turn blue, and the TV to turn on. If there is no signal, 'NO SIGNAL' will be displayed on the screen.

To set up the channels, press the MENU button, then use the VOL+/- buttons to select the CHANNELS menu. Press CH-/OK to open the CHANNELS menu, then use CH+/- to select Auto Channels Search. Press VOL+/OK to open the Auto Channels Search menu. Select Antenna or Cable, then press OK. Select START and press VOL+/OK. The TV will automatically scan and memorize all the active, available channels in your area.

To completely disconnect power, unplug the power cord. Simply pressing the power button puts the TV into standby mode, where it is still receiving power.

To customize the audio settings, press the MENU button, then use the VOL+/- buttons to select the AUDIO menu. Press CH-/OK to enter the AUDIO menu, then use CH+/- to select the desired item. Press VOL+/OK to adjust the setting, and when you're satisfied, press the MENU button to return to the previous menu or the EXIT button to return to TV viewing.

The Haier HL40K2AFA TV offers several sound modes that you can select: Custom (for a personalized sound mode), Standard, Theater (for movies), Music (for musical programs), and News (for news programs). You can cycle through these modes by pressing the AUDIO button.
