Frequently asked questions

To turn on your Haier HL26R TFT-LCD TV, locate the power button on the TV or use the remote control to press the power button.

If your TV does not display any picture when turned on, first check that all cables are securely connected. Ensure the power source is functioning and try turning the TV off and then back on again.

No, the ports including HDMI will not work when the TV is in standby mode. You need to turn on the TV to use these connection options.

For single-family dwellings or houses, connect the RF coaxial wire (75 ohm) from the outdoor antenna to the ANT IN port on your TV. Ensure that you turn the connector clockwise to tighten it securely.

To improve the picture quality in areas with poor signals, consider purchasing and properly installing a signal amplifier. If you need to split the antenna signal for two TVs, use a 2-Way Signal Splitter in the connections.

To get the best picture quality, adjust your VGA graphics card to 1024x768 resolution. Use the TV's VGA or DVI (Digital Visual Interface) Audio IN port for audio connections, depending on your computer connector. If your graphic card does not output analog and digital RGB simultaneously, connect only one of either VGA IN or HDMI IN. If it does output both, set the TV to either VGA or HDMI; the other mode will be set to Plug and Play automatically by the TV.

To skip channels, press the MENU button on your remote control and use the / button to select the Channel menu. Then, press or OK button to select Channel Skip, use the / button to select a channel, and press the OK button to toggle between skipping and not skipping that channel.

To adjust the balance between the left and right speakers, navigate to the Audio menu and use the Balance option. Adjust it to emphasize either the left or right speaker as needed.

To set the sleep timer, press the MENU button and use the / button to select the Time menu. Then press the button and use the / button to select Sleep Timer. Press the button to choose the number of minutes (from 5 to 240 minutes). The time will begin to count down from the selected number of minutes. To cancel the sleep timer, press the button to select Off.

To block specific channels or ratings, access the Lock Menu and select Parental Control. You can choose to block programs based on their ratings sent by the broadcasting station. The default setting allows all programs, but you can customize this by selecting the type of program and categories you want to block.
