When the servicedisconnecting means cannot be locked, securelyfasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, tothe service panel.Due to the weight and size of thesevent hoods and to reduce the risk of personal injuryor damage to the product, TWO PEOPLE AREREQUIRED FOR PROPER INSTALLATION.Disconnect all electrical power atthe main circuit breaker or fuse box before installing.TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE,ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY TO PERSONS,OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:A. Installation work and electrical wiring must bedone by qualified person(s) in accordance withall applicable codes and standards, includingfire-rated construction.B. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustionand exhausting of gases through the flue(chimney) of fuel burning equipment to preventback drafting. Follow the heating equipmentmanufacturer’s guidelines and safety standardssuch as those published by the National FireProtection Association (NFPA), the AmericanSociety for Heating, Refrigeration and AirConditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the localcode authorities.C. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, donot damage electrical wiring and other hiddenutilities.D. Ducted fans must always be vented to theoutdoors.E.
