The Haier DTA21F81 is compatible with the following video formats: 4:3PS, 4:3LB.
The DVD player of the Haier DTA21F81 can handle DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, JPEG, and MP3 formats.
If your Haier DTA21F81 has no light and sound, first check if the fuse is normal. If the fuse is normal, check if the voltage (110V, 180V, etc.) is normal. If the voltage is normal, check components D901~D904, C914, IC9601, and Q901. If these components are normal, check the collector voltage of D909 to see if it is 13.5V. If the voltage is normal, check if ZD201 8v is normal. If all these checks are normal, the failure might be due to the horizontal unit or IC201 or N204. Test all terminal resistance of the load. If abnormal, check the control voltage of Q207 or CPU power pin. If abnormal, check the switch power unit. If abnormal, check the rectifying tube. If normal, check the loader and IC602, etc.
If there is no sound or picture and snowy noise exists, check to see if RAGC is at 00 mode. If it is, enter D-MODE with the customer remote controller and tune RAGC to 25 or so. The noise on the picture should disappear. If the voltage output is not available at the tuner, inspect SAW101, IC201, and the PIF part. If the snowy noise does not exist, inspect the circuit from the CPU to the tuner.
If the TV has a picture but no sound, you should first check the power amplifier by inspecting IC701 and its peripheral components. If there is no noise when touching No.6 or No.8 of IC701 with a multimeter, the power amplifier might be abnormal. Additionally, inspect C713 and C714, and check the +16V power supply.
If the TV has a lack of red color, check to see if V501 is open or not well welded. If V501 is faulty, change V501 or weld it again. Additionally, check to see if the voltages of SK501 are normal. If not, inspect R502, R503, and R504.
The 'H PHASE' can be adjusted within the range of 0 to 31.
The 'Vertical amplitude' (V SIZE) can be adjusted within the range of 0 to 63. The preset value for this setting is 20.
The power off DVD off delay time can be adjusted using the DVD OFF T setting, which ranges from 0 to 127.
The DVD signal format can be set to CVBS (0), YC (1), YUV (2), or hold (3).
