The Haier 29F9B television can store 218 programs.

To clean the TV set safely, first pull out the power plug from the AC outlet. Then, use a dry soft cotton cloth to clean the cabinet and the screen. Avoid using benzene, petrol, and other chemicals, as they can damage the TV set.

If the TV set is not going to be used for a long time or during a severe thunder and lightning storm, it is recommended that you disconnect the TV set from the AC power outlet and remove the aerial plug.

To connect an antenna to the Haier 29F9B TV, you can use either a coaxial cable (75Ω) or a twin-lead cable (300Ω). For a coaxial cable, insert the antenna plug into the 75Ω socket. For a twin-lead cable, shape the cable as shown in figure D, connect the leads to an antenna adapter, and then insert the adapter into the 75Ω socket.

To mute the TV, press the 'MUTE' button on the remote controller.

To change the language, press the CH+/- buttons to select LANGUAGE, then press the VOL+/- buttons to choose the desired OSD language.

To set the sleep timer, press the VOL+ button to increase the sleep time by 10 minutes each time. The maximum sleep time is 180 minutes.

You can connect external devices using the AV IN1, S-VIDEO, SCART1, or SCART2 ports. Note that SCART1 and the Side Front AV panel are connected together, so only connect to one of the inputs at any time. If you need to connect AV output, please select the SCART1 terminal.

Ghosting can be minimized by using an outside aerial, good quality cable, and proper terminations. Altering the aerial direction can also help reduce this effect. Additionally, ensure that there is no electrical interference from sources like cars, motorbikes, fluorescent lamps, or dirty insulators on overhead power cables.

A color purity fault can be caused by moving the TV set, placing magnets near the TV screen, or turning on/off household appliances like vacuum cleaners near the TV. To fix this, turn the TV off with the mains power switch for 15 minutes. When you turn the power back on, the TV will automatically degauss the picture. In severe cases, leave the TV set turned off overnight.
