To prepare the remote control for use, refer to the 'Preparation for the remote control' section on page 3 of the manual.

The installation steps are detailed in the 'Installation' section on page 3 of the manual.

If the remote control will not be used for a long period of time, or when the batteries are worn out, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Dispose of used batteries in the specified manner and do not throw them into fire.

The power indicator light on your Haier 21FV6H indicates whether the device is turned on or off. When the device is on, the light should be illuminated.

To select a two-digit or three-digit channel, press the Digit Select button to change the mode to two-digit or three-digit, then press the number of the channel. If the channel position number you select is larger than 218, the TV will use the first two numbers as the channel position.

To perform an automatic search for available programs, press the MENU button on the remote control until you select the TUNING menu. Then, use the CH+/- button to move the indicator to AUTO MEMORY and press the VOL+ button to start the automatic search. The TV will search for all available programs and store them in order. To stop the search, press the VOL- button.

To manually search for a specific channel, press the CH+/- button or the Direct-digit Choosing button to select a channel directly. For example, to select channel 1, press the CH+/- button until you reach channel 1. Then, press the MENU button continuously until you select the TUNING menu. Use the CH+/- button to move the indicator to SEARCH. Finally, press the VOL+/- button to start searching for channels. The VOL- button searches for lower frequency channels, and the VOL+ button searches for higher frequency channels. Repeat these steps until you find the desired channel.

To adjust the volume levels, press the MENU button continuously until you select the SOUND menu. Then, use the CH+/- buttons to move the indicator to the desired volume level (HIGH VOL, NORMAL VOL, or LOW VOL). Use the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the parameter to your preference. Adjust the levels in the sequence of HIGH VOL, NORMAL VOL, and LOW VOL.

To set the sleep timer, press the button repeatedly. The screen will display the available off-times, which range from 10 to 120 minutes in 10-minute intervals. Select the desired time to activate the sleep timer.

To access and select the Curtain function, press the MENU button until you reach the FUNCTION menu. Then, use the CH+/- buttons to move the indicator to CURTAIN and press the VOL+/button to select from the three available options: I (curtain), II (fade in and fade out), and III (mixed I and II).
