To clean the TV set safely, first pull out the power plug from the AC outlet. Use a dry cotton cloth to clean the cabinet and screen. Avoid using benzene, petrol, or other chemicals, as well as hard cloths that could damage the surface.

To protect the TV set from electrical hazards during thunder and lightning, pull out the plug from the AC outlet and the antenna plug from the cover of the TV set.

It is recommended to use a 75 coaxial cable to connect the antenna to the Haier 21F9D to minimize disturbance caused by airwaves. Additionally, avoid binding the antenna cable and electric wire together.

To turn on the TV from standby mode using the remote control, simply press the power button on the remote control. Alternatively, you can press any of the 0-9 buttons to select a preset channel and turn on the TV.

To turn on or off the saving mode, press the QSET button. The screen will display 'on' or 'off' accordingly. If you press and hold the QSET button for more than 3 seconds, you will enter the ENERGY SAVE menu.

To perform an automatic search for available programs, press the MENU button on the remote control until you select the TUNING menu. Then, press the CH+/- button to move the indicator to AUTO MEMORY. Press the VOL+ button to start the automatic search. The TV will search for all available programs and store them in order. To stop the search, press the VOL- button.

If the color is abnormal on a certain channel, it may be due to an improperly set color system. You should adjust the color system to the proper setting. For detailed instructions, refer to page 7 of the manual.

To manually fine-tune the picture and audio, press the MENU button continuously until you select the TUNING menu. Then, press the CH+/- button to select POS EDIT and VOL+ to enter. Next, press the CH+/- button to select POSITION and use the VOL+/- buttons to select the channel. Move the indicator to MFT and press the VOL+/- buttons repeatedly to fine-tune until you get a satisfactory picture and sound.

To adjust the clock for the timer functions, press the MENU button continuously until you select the FUNCTION menu. Use the CH+/- buttons to select TIMER and the VOL+/- buttons to enter. Then, press CH+/- to move the indicator to CLOCK and use the VOL+/- buttons to set the correct time.
