To turn on the TV, press the power button on the remote control or the power button on the front panel. To turn off the TV, press the power button again.
You can adjust the picture and sound settings by using the remote control. Navigate to the 'Adjusting the picture and the sound' section in the menu and select the desired settings. There are multiple picture modes and sound modes available to choose from.
It is recommended to use a 75 coaxial cable to connect the antenna to the TV to remove the disturbance caused by airwaves.
The battery life should be about one year under normal use. If the remote control will not be used for a long period of time or when the batteries are worn out, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
To switch between TV and AV modes, use the TV/AV switch located on the front panel of the device.
To select a specific channel using the direct-digit choosing button, press the button from 0-9 to select a one-digit channel. For a two-digit channel, press the Digit Select button to change it into two-digits mode, then press the number of the channel. For a three-digit channel, press the Digit Select button to change it into three-digits mode, then press the number of the channel. If the channel position number you select is larger than 218, the TV will use the first two numbers as the channel position.
If the color or sound of a channel is abnormal, it might be because the color or sound system has been set improperly. To adjust it, press the SYSTEM button to see the form, then press the CH+/- button to move the indicator to COLOR or SOUND. Press the VOL+ button to select the proper color (AUTO, PAL, SECAM, NTSC4.43, and NTSC3.58 will appear alternately).
To perform an automatic search for available programs, press the MENU button until TUNING appears on the screen. Then, press the CH+/- button to move the indicator to AUTO MEMORY. Press the VOL+ button to start the automatic search. The TV will search for all available programs and store them in order. To stop the search, press the VOL- button.
If the color or sound is abnormal on a certain channel, it may be due to improper settings for the color or sound system. You should adjust the settings to the proper system. For detailed instructions, refer to page 7 of the manual.
To manually search for a channel, press the CH+/- button or the Direct-digit Choosing button to select a channel directly. Then, press the MENU button until TUNING appears on the screen. Use the CH- button to move the indicator to SEARCH, and then press the VOL+/- button to start searching for channels. Use the VOL- button to search for lower frequency channels and the VOL+ button to search for higher frequency channels.
