Frequently asked questions

Before offering service, you should carefully read this manual to diagnose the trouble correctly.

To adjust the vertical shift, you can use the direct access key '2' and select the '5/6VSH' option. This allows you to adjust the vertical shift within the range of 0 to 63.

The 'AGC Take-Over' and 'AGC SPEED' settings, accessible via the direct access key '3', are used to adjust the Automatic Gain Control (AGC) parameters. 'AGC Take-Over' is adjustable data, while 'AGC SPEED' is also adjustable and can be set within the range of 0 to 63.

The AGC speed settings available are 38MHz, 45.75MHz, 38.90MHz, and 33.90MHz. You can set these by adjusting the corresponding bits in the OP4 section of the manual.

The 'Mute input' is used to control the mute function for Channel 1. It allows you to mute the audio output when needed.

The volume can be adjusted using the 'Volume Control' function, which is connected to Channel 2. This control allows you to increase or decrease the volume as needed.

To adjust the static convergence, input a crosshatch signal. Use the 4-pole convergence magnets to overlap the red and blue lines in the center of the screen and turn them to magenta. Then, use the 6-pole convergence magnets to overlap the magenta and green lines in the center of the screen and turn them to white. Repeat these steps to achieve the best convergence.

For dynamic convergence adjustment, move the deflection yoke up and down to overlap the lines in the periphery. Then, move the deflection yoke left to right to overlap the lines in the periphery. Repeat these steps to achieve the best convergence. After adjustment, fix the wedge at the original position, fasten the retainer screw of the deflection yoke, and fix the 6 magnets with glue.

To adjust the volume, use the VOL+ (SW106) and VOL- (SW105) keys. Pressing VOL+ will increase the volume, while pressing VOL- will decrease it.

The IR key (S101) is used for infrared functionality, which likely controls the remote control or infrared sensor operations of the device.
