FALCON™ X311The Falcon X3 must do more than function for a full shift, it must survive dailyabuse and trauma. The new Falcon X3 survives drops from 6 feet (1.8 meter) toconcrete. Coupled with an IP64 sealing against water and dust allows theFalcon X3 to literally take an industrial pounding. Plastic key caps with metalsnap dome actuation withstand not only the abusive environment but the heavyuse found in third party logistics centers, literally millions of cycles per year.Falcon delivers Datalogic’s trademark ergonomics in a contoured package. Anarched pistol grip handle and ergonomic trigger make the rapid receiving ofgoods comfortable through out the day. Falcon X3 numeric and alphanumerickeyboards use a phone key layout placing numeric keys at the device top withnavigation, scan and enter keys. This highly functional layout places high usekeys at the user’s finger tips. Maximized key sizes drive additional userefficiency with or with out gloves. A crystal clear QVGA display and back litkeyboard make the Falcon X3 readable in dark back corners or full sunlight.The Falcon X3 leverages Datalogic’s software development kit (SDK) forcreating applications. The Datalogic™ SDK provides a set of libraries allowingeasy application development using C++, .NET and Java programminglanguages. Both MCL Collection and Wavelink® Studio™ offer additionalsolutions to enable development. For terminal emulation environments availabletools include the Wavelink Industrial Browser™, Wavelink Terminal Emulation,and Wavelink Speakeasy.Wavelink Avalanche™ device management tools make the Falcon X3 an easydevice to both deploy and maintain. Datalogic Desktop, Configuration andFirmware Utilities deliver unprecedented ability to customize and update deviceconfiguration to the use environment or process. For small or remoteinstallations, Scan to Configure provides simple barcodes that anyone can useto configure the Falcon X3. Wavelink Remote Control allows an administrator toremotely diagnose and remedy both applications and device settings. For addedsecurity the Falcon X3 can be implemented with Wavelink CE Secure andWavelink Certificate Manager.2
