22 2-222-22Technical Overview > Fixing System > Service Tasks > Notes On Service WorksTechnical Overview > Fixing System > Service Tasks > Notes On Service Works■ Failure DetectionThe DC Controller determines a Fixing Assembly failure, makes the FIXING HEATERCONTROL signal inactive, releases the relay to interrupt power supply to the Fixing Heaterand notifies the formatter of a failure state when it encounters the following conditions:1) Start-up failure• If the detected temperature of the thermistor is kept a specified degrees or higher for aspecified period of heater start-up during the wait period.• If the detected temperature of the thermistor is kept a specified degrees or lower for aspecified period under the heater temperature control during the print period.• If the detected temperature of the thermistor does not reach its targeted temperature withina specified period under the heater temperature control during the initial rotation period.2) Abnormal low temperature• If the detected temperature of the thermistor is kept a specified degrees or lower for aspecified period under the heater temperature control.3) Abnormal high temperature• If the detected temperature of the main thermistor is kept a specified degrees or higher fora specified period.4) Drive circuit failure• If a specified frequency of the FREQUENCY signal is not detected within a specified periodafter the printer is turned on.Service Tasks■ At Parts ReplacementNo work is required for this product at parts replacement.■ MaintenanceNo periodically replaced parts, durable parts or periodical service is set for this product.■ Notes On Service Works• When removing the Fixing Assembly, perform the operation after the Fixing Assembly issurely cooled. The Fixing Assembly just after printing may cause burn injury.• Do not disassemble the Fixing Assembly at a field. It may cause a malfunction.
