Acute─31─“Pass/Fail”, also called “Go/No Go”, is used for auto-test purposes. Pick areference waveform and set the desired benchmark tolerance range for time, andvoltage of the waveform to create a waveform “tunnel”. Any probed waveformgoes through the “tunnel”. If the signal stays within the tolerance range of the“tunnel”, it Passes, otherwise, it Fails.Setting procedure is as below:1. Use “Save/Recall” to showthe reference waveform(see “Save/Recall” section).2. Enter “Pass/Fail” dialogbox.3. Input benchmark tolerancelevels for time, and voltage.4. Set action for “Pass”, or“Fail”.Sometimes, spurious “Fail” events mayoccur due to instability or noise in thesource waveform. To avoid this, eitheruse the “Average” function or turn onthe 20MHz bandwidth limit to reducesignal noise.L. Hot Key Setting“Hot Key Setting” is a very easy-to-use function, especially for non-engineeringusers, such as production line operators, who need to operate DS-1000 forproduction purposes. In the “Hot-Key Setting” dialogue box, you may create“Hot Key” with function(s) or sub-function(s) in a “define” list, or you can deletethe “Hot Key” by pressing the “Escape” key. However, please note that notevery function key can be defined as a “Hot Key”.
