72English 8 If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the totalampere rating of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does notexceed the extension cord ampere rating. Also, make sure that the totalrating of all products plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed thefuse rating.9 Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots asthey may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that couldresult in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind onto or intothe product.10 Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removingcovers may expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks. Refer allservicing to qualified service personnel.11 Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualifiedservice personnel under the following conditions:a When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.b If liquid has been spilled into the product.c If the product has been exposed to rain or water.d If the product does not operate normally when the operatinginstructions are followed. Keep them away from children anddispose of used batteries promptly.14 To avoid hazard of unexpected electrical shock, use the AC adapter onlywhen the wall socket is properly grounded.15 Use only the proper type of power supply cord set (provided in youraccessories box) for this unit. It should be a detachable type: UL listed/CSAcertified, type SPT-2, rated 7 A 125 V minimum, VDE approved or itsequivalent. Maximum length is 4.6 meters (15 feet).16 Always disconnect all telephone lines from the wall outlet before servingor disassembling this equipment.17 Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an electricalstorm. There may be a remote risk of electric shock from lightning.
