BIOS Utility4-45Changing or Removing the Setup PasswordShould you want to change your setup password, do the following:1. Enter the BIOS utility and select System Security.2. Highlight the Setup Password parameter.3. Press or to display the password prompt and key-in a newpassword.orPress or and select None to remove the existingpassword.4. Press to exit the System Security screen and return to themain menu.5. Press to exit the BIOS utility. A dialog box appears asking ifyou want to save the CMOS data.6. Select Yes to save the changes.Bypassing the Setup PasswordIf you forget your setup password, you can bypass the passwordsecurity feature by hardware. Follow these steps to bypass thepassword:1. Turn off and unplug the system.2. Open the system housing and set JP5 to 2-3 to bypass thepassword function.3. Turn on the system and enter the BIOS utility. This time, thesystem does not require you to type in a password.
