Cheetah EtherCard-23203Installation1. Select an empty CardBus PC Card slot and insert the CheetahEtherCard-2320 into that slot as shown below.2. Connect the Cheetah EtherCard-2320 to a network hub orswitch using UTP cable with RJ-45 connectors. Use Category3, 4 or 5 for 10 Mbps connections and Category 5 for100 Mbps connections. The UTP cable should have amaximum length of 100 m (328 ft).3. Power on your PC and install the appropriate network driverfor your operating system. Drivers can be found on the DriverDiskette.Notes: 1. The card auto-negotiates the speed and duplex mode ofthe network connection, providing seamless operationon either 10 or 100 Mbps segments.2. Full-duplex communications allows data to be sent andreceived simultaneously, doubling the effectivethroughput. Refer to the readme files on the driverdiskette for information on setting the duplex mode.Driver Installation and ConfigurationThe diskette labeled “Driver Diskette,” that comes with thepackage contains all the software drivers available for the CheetahEtherCard-2320. A RELEASE.TXT file, describing the contents ofthe diskette is found in the root directory. Different drivers arestored in separate subdirectories, which also include a text file.Select the driver you need for your system and refer to the text filefor the installation and configuration procedure.
